Since we moved to an area with an elevation of 90… from an area with an elevation of 5,280… I’ve had to adjust my baking skills. I have been having so much fun experimenting with baking different breads, and expanding my skills with biscuits and cornbread and my latest greatest accomplishment, The World’s Best Cinnamon Rolls!

Some things have been a total fail. Using a different oven, and a gas oven, for the first time in a long time has proved to be more challenging than I thought! But now that I know that I need to rotate the pan halfway through the baking time, and that the bottom of the oven is way too hot for anything to cook on the lowest shelf… my baking adventures have become much more fruitful! And speaking of fruitful– I even tried my hand at making jelly! We bought some cherries that were not very tasty, and instead of feeding them to the birds, I turned them into jelly. While it tasted great, it was not very “jell-y” so it actually turned into pie filling, waste not want not right?!

Everything looks delish Maureenie!
