Since we began vacationing in Port A in 2016, we’d tried to attend an event held there called ‘Sandfest’. Artists from across the nation create elaborate sand sculptures and they hold a festival and contest for them. It is normally held in April every year, but due to Covid, they cancelled the 2020 event, and postponed the 2021 event until October.

We planned my Mom’s next visit for the time when they would be holding Sandfest so we could all experience it together! We had so much fun! It was kind of a quick visit for Mom, and I had just started my new job so couldn’t take any time off work. I’ll share some of our pictures from Sandfest and her visit.
